Yes i can advice people where to park, Low cost airport parking or flying scot Edinburgh ( same company) close to Airport, where you will return to your car and find it severely scratched and dented. The staff are very friendly when they tell you that the damage must have happened before you entered the carpark and “have you read our terms and conditions”. the mud over the wheels and the change of radio station was also a mystery. So i would recommend parking there but a bit expensive at £1500 for one night.

Please think very carefully before you park your car at either low cost airport parking or flying scot Edinburgh airport, both car parks owned by same company. I left my one year old Audi A6 overnight and returned to find it parked on a grass verge and severely damaged on passenger wing and door. The car park company refused to accept responsibility quoting their terms and conditions even though I reported the damage to the police. What angered me more was the passenger wheel was covered in mud considering we had a week of dry weather and the radio station was changed. So before you consider using these car parks unless you prefer to have someone joyriding and damaging your car please check their T&Cs and reviews on their websites and you will see I am not alone. Companies like this cannot keep getting away with this.

Energy Solutions Consultants, a UK leader in integrated critical power, cooling services and data centre design, today announced the launch of auditing services to meet the growing concerns of companies about energy efficiency in data centres.
Energy Solutions Consultants complete and expert audit provides a vendor-neutral suite of services that include a comprehensive evaluation of energy use in customer facilities with detailed reports on total data centre input power, IT load, power usage effectiveness (PUE), and power and cooling conditions. Energy Solutions Consultants can also provide proposals to resolve issues with a range of recommendations to suit customer needs.
William Morris, Managing Director of Energy Solutions Consultants claims that “More data centre managers are beginning to look at energy as a productive asset, and they need the tools to be able to help maximise the utilisation of available resources with business and regulatory climates demanding increased efficiencies within the data centres. Energy Solutions Consultants audit service brings significant returns on investment as customers optimise current infrastructure and plan for future growth or consolidation.”
The audit service is a tremendous value-added service offered by Energy Solutions Consultants to its clients in the UK and Europe. As a leading company in the data centre and cooling technologies business, Energy Solutions Consultants aims to offer the complete spectrum of data protection solutions through providing the audit service. Through regular audits, data centres can be operated at optimum capacity and help save cost of repair or replacement of equipment that are prone to damage due to incorrect usage. In the near future, Energy Solutions Consultants will also be adding a language selection option on their current website to accommodate users from across Europe and the Middle East.
The services team audits the data centre and provides the customer with detailed proposals to improve energy efficiency. The proposal recommends a range of solutions leading to a scale of gains from minimum to maximum, so the customer can implement the changes that best fit their business needs and data centre environments.
Issues typically found in data centres are often addressed with a combination of airflow and cooling management techniques, smarter hot-cold aisle configurations and containment systems, upgrades to UPS systems, as well as modernisation of rack enclosures with new intelligent systems.
The Energy Solutions Consultants Data Centre Cooling Analysis uses Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to analyse the airflow and temperature patterns of a data centre at the rack and room level. The CFD software creates a 3D model of the physical attributes within the space, as well as the location and performance characteristics of the cooling units, IT equipment, power systems and any other significant equipment in the data centre.

However many electricity, gas or oil units you use in your daily business, you want to be sure you are paying as little as possible.
You know how complicated mobile tariffs can be. It’s easily as complicated for fuel – if not more so. Before deregulation, it was simple; everyone paid the same for fuel. These days you can negotiate your contract, change tariffs and change suppliers.
Yet there are benefits to the credit crunch. Because of the recession, people are using less fuel and so suppliers are keen to offer it at a lower price. And now that the price per barrel of oil is at about the lowest it’s been for the last few years (ensuring the gas and electricity prices are kept low) it’s a particularly good time to negotiate the correct tariff for your usage and a good time to lock into a new contract.
Energy Solutions Consultants can handle your negotiations and secure the best tariffs and contracts for your business. Where we differ from traditional negotiators, who may take an undisclosed commission from the supplier of up to 10%, Energy Solutions Consultants will disclose all commissions and even happily operate on a transparent fixed fee basis. We’ll pass on the commission to you, ensuring you always pay the least.

Energy Solutions Consultants are pleased to announce that Robert Baran our Energy and Mechanical Engineer has recently passed 2079-101 Knowledge assessment of F-Gas and ODS Regulations; Category 1. As a fully accredited F-Gas Inspector Robert is now fully qualified to carry out inspections of systems throughout the United Kingdom.
What are F Gases?
F gases are a family of chemicals that contain fluorine. Most F gases are very powerful greenhouse gases which contribute to global warming if emitted to the atmosphere. The relevant F gases being regulated are:
Hydroflourocarbons (HFCs) – Refrigerant in refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pumps used in many applications such as industry, offices, retail, hospitality and cars.

What are Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS)?
ODS are chemicals that can damage the Earth’s ozone layer if the escape into the upper atmosphere. The ozone layer protects all living things from harmful ultraviolet radiation from the sun. ODS include HCFCs (hydroflourocarbons) which are still used widely as refrigerants in building air-conditioning and in industrial and commercial refrigeration.

What is the Objective?
The principal objective is to contain, prevent and thereby reduce emissions of f-gases covered by the Montreal and Kyoto Protocol. These regulations will make a significant contribution towards the European Community’s Kyoto Protocol target by introducing cost-effective mitigation measures and to prevent distortion of the internal market. The main focus is on containment and recovery of f-gases, together with harmonised restrictions on the marketing and use of f-gases in applications where containment of f-gases is difficult to achieve or the use of f-gases is considered inappropriate and suitable alternatives exist.

Which Regulations are applicable?
F-Gas Support will help promote compliance with two important EU Regulations:
• EC Regulation 842/2006 on certain fluorinated greenhouse gases (the F gas Regulation), which aims to reduce emissions of HFCs, PFC’s and SF6 and whose key obligations came into force in July 2007.
• EC Regulation 2037/2000 on substances that deplete the ozone layer (the Ozone Regulation), which phases out and controls remaining uses of ODS and has been in force since 2000. HCFCs are the main type of substance still to be phased out under this Regulation.
The obligations in these Regulations are fleshed out by a number of European Commission Regulations that provide extra detail and introduce minimum requirements which must be complied with. In addition to this the Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases Regulations 2009 prescribes amongst other things the certification and evaluation bodies providing qualifications that meet the minimum requirements and offences and penalties applicable in Great Britain to infringements of the EC F gas Regulation.
Who is responsible for regulation?
For industrial facilities with IPPC/PPC permits regulated by the Environment Agency, the Scottish Environment Protection Agency or the Northern Ireland Environment and Heritage Service, those national bodies will be the regulators for the F gas and Ozone Regulations.
Councils will be the regulators for other industrial sites, and for all commercial and retail businesses.
The Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) will be the regulator for the offshore oil and gas installations.
